What good is a soul if it's not laid bare
daring the fates to crush it.
What good is a mind that's never shared
with thoughts and plans to nourish it.
What good is a life burdened with pain
without joy to balance it.
What good are words born from these things.
The writer inside, time to kill it.
Okay, I'm not trying to show off here, but I had an immediate response:
ReplyDeleteWords, not just actions, can lay bare the soul - but only for another to see it.
Words, not just faces, can share the workings of a mind - so others can use it.
Words, better than feelings, can shift the balance of pain and joy, the better to temper it.
The writer within longs to be heard... She has a voice. Use it.
Love.
